This visit is part of the implementation of the twinning agreement between the commune of Dakhla and the municipality of Great Neck, New York, aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation in the economic, cultural, and tourism fields.
The American delegation, led by Mayor of Great Neck Pedram Bral was received at the headquarters of the commune of Dakhla for a meeting that highlighted the commune's action programs in various sectors.
In a statement to the press, Bral said that the purpose of the visit was to explore investment opportunities in several promising sectors, particularly health, noting that the delegation accompanying him included several professionals and stakeholders in the field.
He added that Morocco, a true gateway to Africa, enjoys the security and stability necessary to host major health projects on a continental scale.
The mayor of Great Neck emphasized that the Kingdom holds assets required to capture a significant share of African medical tourism through the creation of modern health centers offering quality services, making Morocco a leading therapeutic destination on the continent.
For his part, President of the Dakhla Communal Council Erragheb Hormatallah noted that the visit by the American delegation aims to bolster bilateral relations between the two cities in particular, and between the Kingdom of Morocco and the USA in general.
The visit's program includes a field visit to the Mohammed VI International University Hospital Center project in Dakhla, as well as meetings with students from Mohammed VI University of Science and Health in Dakhla.
