"I would like to recall that Security Council Resolution 2797, adopted on October 31, 2025, clearly and explicitly reaffirmed the parameters of the political solution to the regional dispute over the Moroccan Sahara and codified the autonomy solution proposed by Morocco as the one and only basis for negotiation within the framework of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Kingdom," Farhane emphasized in a speech before the 32nd Ministerial Council of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE).

The Ambassador specified that this resolution called on all parties concerned, notably Algeria, to engage in negotiations under the auspices of the UN in order to reach a definitive solution to this dispute, within the framework of Morocco's sovereignty.

Farhane also noted that Morocco's adherence to the principles of the Helsinki Final Act, its longstanding and unwavering commitment to strengthening the Mediterranean partnership with the OSCE are all considerations "that dictate our duty to emphasize the geostrategic dimension of the Mediterranean region, as well as the need to encourage contributions to international efforts to maintain global peace and security, within the framework of respect for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of States."

In this regard, he emphasized that Morocco has always worked towards strengthening mutual trust by prioritizing dialogue, negotiation, and cooperation in order to find realistic and sustainable solutions within the framework of its Euro-Mediterranean relations.
