A large delegation of Spanish businessmen on Monday visited several completed and ongoing projects in Dakhla to explore the investment opportunities offered by this region.

On this occasion, the economic actors and business leaders said they were "impressed" by the investment opportunities and the quality of infrastructure in Dakhla, voicing their willingness to examine investment opportunities in various productive sectors.
They also expressed their keen interest in this promising region and their eagerness to contribute to the economic momentum by seizing the various investment opportunities offered.

This visit comes in the aftermath of the Moroccan-Spanish Investment Forum held in June in Dakhla. It has allowed economic players and Spanish business leaders to discuss investment and business opportunities in various productive sectors in the region, such as agribusiness, industry, logistics, fishing and renewable energy.

The Spanish delegation, led by Maria Tato, a businesswoman who heads more than 30 companies and hotels, met with the wali of the region of Dakhla-Oued Eddahab, governor of the province of Oued Eddahab, Lamine Benomar, the president and members of the Regional Council and the director of the Regional Investment Center, Mounir Houari.

In a statement to M24, MAP's rolling news channel, El Khattat Yanja, President of the Regional Council of Dakhla-Oued Eddahab, stressed that this meeting was an opportunity to review the economic potential and investment opportunities offered by the region and consolidate its position as a gateway to the African market and a platform for trade.

For her part, Spanish businesswoman Telisa said she was "impressed" by the quality and investment opportunities offered by Dakhla, stressing the importance of economic cooperation between Morocco and Spain.
