The Central African Republic regretted the absence of Morocco from the 8th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD 8), which was held on 27 and 28 August in Tunis.


"The Central African Republic supports the statement of President Macky Sall, Chairman-in-Office of the African Union regarding the absence" of Morocco and the failure to comply with the rules established for participation in this Summit," said President Faustin Archange Touadera during the proceedings of this conference.

Morocco decided not to participate in the 8th TICAD Summit to be held in Tunisia on August 27 and 28 and to immediately recall in consultation the Ambassador of HM the King in Tunis "following the attitude of this country in the process of the Japan-Africa Cooperation Forum, which confirms blatantly its hostility towards the Kingdom.
