 The Regional Directorate of Culture of Dakhla-Oued Eddahab recently organized a series of diversified cultural competitions since the establishment of sanitary lockdown in order to ensure the continuity of cultural activity in this exceptional circumstance marked by the fight against the coronavirus pandemic (Covid-19).
The activities organized during this period focused on several categories including news, poetry, calligraphy, dramatic art, plastic art and literary creativity, as well as the safeguarding and enhancement of the cultural heritage of the region
Among these creative activities is a distance contest in the field of dramatic art under the theme '' dramatic art, expression and coexistence '', intended for all people of all ages, in particular for people in difficult situations .
Applicants must send a video sequence of less than two minutes, in which they play silent roles and express themselves only by gesture and mimicry (pantomime), dealing with themes relating to the coronavirus.
The program also includes the organization of the second edition of the regional plastic arts competition, under the sign "I am engaged and creative", open to candidates under 30 who must complete a work of art on grape paper (50 x 65 cm) whose theme is centered on the Covid19 pandemic and send their masterpieces by e-mail to the Regional Directorate of Culture.
Among these cultural competitions, there is the one relating to Arabic calligraphy, held under the theme "Arabic calligraphy innovation, identity and values", where candidates are required to include in their work a Koranic verse, hadith, wisdom or proverb.
The Management also organized the second edition of the poetry competition in the two categories (Arabic and Hassani poetry), under the sign “From confinement emerges creativity”.
Prizes of merit will be awarded to the winners in various artistic and literary competitions.
