 The national food distribution operation “Ramadan 1441”, initiated by Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity, benefited 11,586 families in Dakhla-Oued Eddahab region, an increase of 1,586 households compared to last year.
The number of households benefiting from this solidarity action in Oued Eddahab province stands at some 6,236, an increase of 836 families compared to last year.
In the province of Aousserd, a total of 5,350 families (+750 over a year) benefited from this solidarity action launched on Saturday under the supervision of local authorities.
Operation Ramadan 1441 aims to provide help and comfort to the most vulnerable social categories, notably widows, elderly and people with disabilities.
The basket consists of seven essential products, namely 10 kg flour, 4 kg sugar, 250 gr tea, 1 kg lentils, 1 kg vermicelli, 5 liters oil and 800 gr tomato puree.
This aid is intended to meet the food needs of households, particularly those related to the period of the holy month of Ramadan.During this period of lockdown, the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity and its partners had to adapt the distribution system for the security of the populations.
Distribution is carried out in compliance with health and protection instructions, according to the protocol and methods adapted by the local authorities.
It will be provided by caïdats within the framework of local committees which will ensure that the heads of beneficiary families are informed and that food aid is delivered directly to households.
This 21st edition of Operation Ramadan organized with the financial support of the Ministry of Interior, Directorate General of Local Authorities, Ministry of Habous and Islamic Affairs, National Mutual Aid, Ministry of Health, Gendarmerie, FAR Social Works (DGSS), National Promotion, Auxiliary Forces, provincial and local authorities.-
