The two countries have strong relations, not only at the bilateral level, but also through "Moroccan initiatives and proposals in the multilateral fora in which we participate, such as our support for the Declaration on the territorial integrity of the Kingdom" presented at the 43rd session of the United Nations Human Rights Council, or mutual support in proposals for candidacies for various positions in international organizations, said Licia Pichardo on the occasion of the ceremony commemorating the 176th anniversary of her country's independence.
For the diplomat, the visit of the president of the Dominican Republic to Morocco in 2002, followed by HM King Mohammed VI's visit to her country in 2004, are important steps in the rapprochement of positions and common interests.
She also praised the excellent relations between Morocco and the Dominican Republic, which are "getting stronger".
