In a statement to the MAP after the adoption of the agreement in plenary session, Mr. Khattat highlighted the role played by local actors from the southern provinces, parliamentarians, regional, provincial and communal elected representatives.

The European Parliament adopted the agricultural agreement between Morocco and the European Union with 444 votes in favor and 167 against.

This is a new step in the relations between the two parties. It comes in the wake of recent positive developments that have seen Morocco and the EU strengthen the legal certainty of their trade agreements and consolidate their multifaceted strategic partnership.
