"Trinidad and Tobago encourages the parties to continue negotiations in a spirit of compromise and sincere commitment, with the objective of achieving a just, lasting and mutually acceptable political solution", said the representative of the Republic of twin islands, at the 4th General Committee meeting.
He also said that his country welcomes the content of Security Council Resolution 2414 (2018).
This Resolution calls for a realistic, pragmatic and lasting political solution to the Sahara based on compromise. The Resolution also welcomes the serious and credible efforts of Morocco, including autonomy plan aimed at putting an end to this regional dispute.
