Council delegation meets with officials from the Spanish Popular Party in Madrid

A meeting between the President of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs, and Mr. Jorge Moragas, the official in charge of External Relations at People's Party (the opposition) and his assistant, Alberto Ruiz Thierry took place on Friday, at the headquarters of the Popular Party, in the context of the visit by Corcas delegation to Spain to present the Moroccan Sahara proposal to resolve the dispute.

Following this meeting, Mr. Jorge Moragas expressed his point of view in this regard, as a his party is neutral in this conflict, and stressed the importance of the establishment of constructive and transparent dialogue between Morocco and Polisario in order to satisfy both parties.

Mr. Ould Errachid told the Arab Maghreb News Agency that his meeting with officials of the Popular Party was "very positive", adding that "this fraternal meeting was very successful." He added: "There was a total understanding of the topics discussed by the two sides."

This meeting was attended by the Moroccan side in addition to Mr. Khalihenna Ould errachid, Secretary General of the Council, Maoulainain Ben Khalihenna, Gajmoula Bent Abi, Breika Zerouali, Ali Salem Chakkaf and Moroccan ambassador in Madrid.
