The delegation of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs, headed by its chairman Mr. Khalihenna Ould Errachid, continued talks on Monday and Tuesday in Madrid with many politicians, parliamentarians and trade union officials. During the meetings, Mr. Ould Errachid explained to his interlocutors the philosophy behind the setting up of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs, and its composition which reflects the reality of the Saharan in addition to its tasks, which include the development of a scheme of self-government for the Sahara to put an end to this conflict which has lasted more than 30 years



Council delegation also held a meeting with the President of the Institute (Real Kano), Gustavo Suárez Berteira, and a group of researchers in this famous Spanish Center for Studies and Research. The Moroccan delegation held a similar meeting on the same day with representatives of the Toledo International Center for Peace at the Institute of International Relations and Outer Dialogue.

On Tuesday morning, delegation members of met at the headquarters of the union committees with many officials, mainly the responsible for Institutional Relations Salvador Banguez and President of Migrations and International Cooperation Mohamed Anwar Haydour.

Mr Ould Errachid and the accompanying delegation held talks with members of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, the Spanish Senate (lower chamber of parliament). The delegation of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs is expected to hold a similar meeting on Tuesday afternoon.
