The Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs (CORCAS), represented by Moulay Ahmed Mghizlate and Saadani Maoulainine, is participating—as part of the Kingdom of Morocco’s official delegation—in the 63rd session of the UN Human Rights Council (HRC). The session began on Monday, September 7, and runs until October 9, 2026, at the Palais des Nations in Geneva.

The agenda for the current HRC session focuses primarily on a series of high-level panel discussions. Key topics include the 15th anniversary of the UN Declaration on Human Rights Education and Training, the promotion and protection of economic, social, and cultural rights in the context of combating inequality, and the 60th anniversary of the International Covenants on Human Rights.

Several reports and specific themes will also be presented for discussion, notably regarding the International Independent Expert Mechanism to Advance Racial Justice and Equality in the Context of Law Enforcement, and the High Commissioner’s analytical report on the human rights of women and children in conflict and post-conflict situations.
