The latest decision of the Security Council is a "diplomatic victory for Morocco"

Our position regarding  the Moroccan Sahara issue is "a position that we assume. It is a historical position of Senegal and that we will continue to pursue," said Senegalese President Macky Sall.

In an interview broadcast Monday by "Médi1 TV", the Senegalese head of state added that it is "a known position to the world, and to our partners," adding  that his country "attended by positive vote at the UN security Council on the MINURSO mission."

Describing the decision by the Security Council "diplomatic victory for Morocco", Mr. Macky Sall emphasized the need to "continue to seek solution" to end the matter, highlighting "convergence" between Rabat and Dakar on this topic.

Commenting the speech by King Mohammed VI at GCC summit in Riyadh, in which the Sovereign placed particular emphasis on the threat of new disorders sparing no country, the Senegalese head of state stressed the need to remain "vigilant" and to cope with this destabilizing policy, noting that today "it is time for reunification and large ensembles."
