Chairman of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs, Mr Khalihenna. Ould Errachid, said Sunday that the acts of Aminetou Haider and her denial of her Moroccan nationality, is part of a plan hatched by Polisario and Algeria, to circumvent and disrupt the ongoing negotiations to find a definitive solution to the Sahara.

Mr. Khalihenna Ould Errachid said during an interview on "Medi 1 Sat" TV Channel under the program: " Le Maghreb arabe en une semaine," that this practice began after Polisario and Algeria knew with certainty that the negotiations under the United Nations cannot lead to separatism, especially after what has been reaffirmed by the Personal Envoy of former Secretary General of the United Nations, Mr. Peter Van Walsum, declaring that independence is an unrealistic choice.

When these parties realized this truth, says Corcas chairman, they began to create incidents that have nothing to do with the issue to divert the debate and negotiations around the project of autonomy and efforts to find a definitive solution to the Sahara issue.

Mr. Khalihenna Ould Errachid said that the act by Aminetu Haider was premeditated, adding that the Moroccan authorities acted in this matter constructively and positively.

Again, said Mr. Ould Errachid, the calculations of those who were betting on the official position of Spain failed, adding that Spain now supports autonomy, because it represents the method it has itself used to solve its internal problems.

Mr. Ould Errachid added that Spain made the right choice which is good neighbourliness, strengthening cooperative relations with Morocco.

On the other hand, Mr. Khalihenna Ould Errachid highlighted the fact that the choice of negotiation is the best, most convenient and claimed by the international community to come to the only possible solution represented by autonomy, adding that if other parties show political will, it is possible to continue negotiations and reach final solution to this conflict that has lasted too long.
