The newspaper wrote in its online edition that, in the context of this growing support, the Moroccan Autonomy Initiative, presented by Morocco in 2007, is establishing itself as "the main basis for a permanent and definitive political solution to this regional dispute."
The newspaper noted that since last January, several countries have affirmed, renewed, or adopted positions supporting the autonomy plan, reflecting "a clear trend in favor of Morocco's sovereignty over its Sahara."
It noted that Poland has joined a group of European Union countries and more than 120 countries worldwide that support the Moroccan plan, considering this initiative "a serious, realistic, and pragmatic basis for a permanent solution to the Sahara issue."
