Khalihenna: nobody has interest in encouraging secession particularily Algeria

  Liberation: The chairman of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs Mr. Khalihenna Ould Errachid confirmed that only autonomy within the framework of Moroccan sovereignty "could be an honourable way out for the Sahara issue.



 The French newspaper "Liberation" said on Thursday, July 6, 2006 quoting Mr. Ould Errachid that "only autonomy within the framework of Moroccan sovereignty (...) can be an honourable way out for the Sahara issue, "without winner or loser," adding that "No one has the interest today to encourage separatism, particularly Algeria."

   "Liberation" said in this regard that Algeria "hosts (POLISARIO) in its territory and supports it economically and militarily". On the other hand, the chairman of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan affairs affirmed the absence of any "manoeuvre" on the part of Morocco, which considers the Sahara issue a national cause, pointing out that the self-determination referendum "is not achievable unless the borders of four countries are changed".
