Egyptian weekly "Nisf al Douniya" said the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan affairs, a cornerstone in the expansion of the culture of consultation and paves the way for citizens to contribute with their suggestions to all issues relating to the unity of the national territory and the development of economic, social and cultural rights of the southern provinces.



  In a report published in its last issue on Morocco, the weekly referred to His Majesty King Mohammed VI invitation of the members of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs, which includes elders and tribal leaders as well as actors of civil society and representatives of women and youth, to propose initiatives likely to integrate the Moroccan citizens detained in the Tindouf camps and contribute to building a strong unified and democratic Morocco.
 
 "Nisf al Douniya" highlighted the great attention given to the southern regions by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, following His Majesty's recent visit to these territories and the declaration he made on the expanded autonomy. In this regard, the weekly gave a declaration by the chairman of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan affairs in which he stressed that the expanded autonomy "satisfies the aspirations of all Saharans and end the conflict" referring to the declaration by His Majesty King Mohammed VI on consultations with political parties on autonomy within Moroccan sovereignty.

    His Majesty the King confirmed there "must be a political negotiated solution to the Sahara issue acceptable to all parties" and that "responding to this trend, supported by the international community and the United Nations" Morocco stands ready to find a solution which allows to the inhabitants of the region handle their internal affairs in the framework of national sovereignty.
