The Chairman of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs, Khalihenna Ould Errachid,met on Thursday, June 21, 2018, at the Council's headquarters with Walter Harms, Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs at the Chamber of Deputies of the Republic of Paraguay.
During this meeting, attended by Dr. Maouelainin Ben Khallihenna Maouelainin,
CORCAS Secretary General, the Corcas chairman discussed the latest developments on the Sahara issue including negotiations under the auspices of the United Nations and the solution created since 2007 by the Moroccan Initiative granting extended autonomy to the Sahara region under Moroccan sovereignty, as a practical, fair and final solution to the conflict.
This initiative has received since its presentation a tribute supported by successive resolutions of the Security Council, reflecting support it has received from the international community.
The Paraguayan parliamentary official is making a working visit to Morocco from 19 to 26 June 2018.
