AThe Chairman of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs, Khalihenna Ould Errachid, met Thursday, April 26, 2018, with Fernando Meza Moncada, Speaker of the Andean Parliament, including representatives of Parliaments of Chile, Bolivia, Ecuador, Peru and Colombia.
The talks between Corcas chairman and his guest from Chile, focused on the latest developments in the Moroccan Sahara issue, in particular, at the level of the United Nations and Security Council and prospects for development of this artificial conflict in the new mandate of the United Nations Secretary-General and his personal envoy to the region.
Corcas chairman and his guest, who discussed the only possible political solution to the Sahara, in this case autonomy, which is a solution that is fair, courageous and serious, is recognized by all the resolutions of the Security Council since 2007.
A legitimate recognition like autonomy conceived by Saharawis themselves, who are the first concerned by the conflict, and has the unanimity of the Moroccan people, elites and political institutions .
This meeting took place in the presence of Dr. Maouelainin Ben Khallihenna Maouelainin, CORCAS Secretary General and Mr. Ahmed Mghizlat, member.
