The chairman of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs, Mr. Khalihenna Ould Errachid held talks Wednesday, February 3, 2016, at the Council with Marco Antonio Nunes Lozano, speaker of the House of Representatives at the Chilean Parliament, on a working visit to Morocco, between February 1st 7.
At the meeting, attended by Dr. Ben Maouelainin Khallihenna Maouelainin, Secretary General and Mr. Ahmed Mghizlat, Corcas chairman exchanged with his guest who was accompanied by the Ambassador of Chile in Morocco, about latest developments in the Moroccan Sahara issue.
Corcas chairman welcomed Chile's position regarding the issue of territorial integrity of the Kingdom, including support that Chile brings to the political solution and efforts made by Morocco to reach a just solution under the auspices of the United Nations by granting broad autonomy to the Sahara under Moroccan sovereignty.
For his part, President of the Chilean Parliament reaffirmed the importance of the efforts of the Kingdom and seriousness which is expressed through major reforms in which the Kingdom has undertaken seriously at all levels to ensure political stability, economic and social prosperity of its people, especially in the Sahara region.
