Khalihenna discussed with the Secretary General Dr. Maouelainin Ben Khallihenna Maouelainin and Vice-Chairman, Mr. Khaddad Moussaoui, the genesis and development of the Sahara issue and the negative impact of the conflict on Africa, particularly with regard to the challenges of African unity, security and terrorist threats. He also stressed the efforts made by Morocco to break the deadlock through an equitable political solution repeatedly hailed by the international community.
The Chairman welcomed Kenya's position in favor of negotiations between the parties to the conflict, and in the context of the support that Kenya can bring to this process.
For his part, the chairman of the Kenyan delegation expressed the willingness of his country to support Morocco's efforts in order to find a solution to the Sahara issue under the auspices of the United Nations nourishing the hope that the conflict will quickly lead to a sustainable political solution.
