The Chairman of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs, met on Wednesday, January 09, 2019 at Corcas headquarters, with Sean O Fearghail, Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Ireland, on a working visit to Morocco January 7 through 11.


During this meeting, attended by Secretary General Dr. Maouelainin Ben Khallihenna Maouelainin, Vice chairman Khaddad El Moussaoui and Moulay Ahmed Mghizlat member the exchanges between Mr. Khalihenna Ould Errachid and his guest focused on the latest developments in the Moroccan Sahara issue under the leadership of the new UN Personal Envoy.


 CORCAS Chief insisted on the fact that the Moroccan autonomy which is the solution on the table of negotiation of the United Nations, was elaborated by Saharawis, the first concerned by the issue and 
represented by CORCAS.


The visit by the Speaker of the Irish Parliament comes as Ireland plans to open its embassy in Rabat next year to strengthen bilateral ties.
