The Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs (CORCAS) participates in the Moroccan delegation to the United Nations Committee of 24 which closes its regional seminar, Thursday, May 21, 2015 in Nicaragua.

Corcas is represented at the seminar by its Vice-President, Mr. Khaddad El Moussaoui. The seminar began Tuesday in Managua the capital of Nicaragua and was an opportunity to discuss prospects of solutions of the Sahara issue through the proposed broad autonomy proposed by Morocco as part of the third international decade of Eradication of Colonialism.

This solution will allow autonomy to the inhabitants of the Sahara region to achieve self-determination in accordance with the UN Charter through the most advanced form guaranteeing local self-government of the region by the inhabitants themselves .

The UN General Assembly created the Committee of 24 in 1961 to monitor the implementation of the decolonization Declaration and make recommendations on the issue.
