"Autonomy is maximum that Morocco can offer" (royal speech on 40th anniversary of the Green March)

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Salaheddine Mezouar held, here Wednesday, talks with Personal Envoy of the UN Secretary General for the Sahara, Christopher Ross.

The visit of Ross is part of a tour to the region, pursuant to the UN Security Council resolutions.

The commemoration of the Green March was marked by the very strong messages by HM King Mohammed VI from Laayoune to the international community, and the other two parties to the conflict Algeria and Polisario, about the fact that Morocco "rejects any adventure with uncertain consequences, potentially dangerous, or other hollow proposal to sabotage the positive momentum triggered by the autonomy Initiative of 2007.

HM King reaffirmed in his speech of 39th anniversary of the November 6, that autonomy initiative described by all the resolutions of the Security Council since 2007 as serious and credible, "is the maximum that Morocco can offer "and that" its application is still dependent on the need to reach a final political solution within the UN framework.
