Algeria, Polisario separatists strive for three decades, to undermine the UN mediation process on the Sahara issue, noted the Egyptian weekly " Ros al Youssef."


In its latest edition, the publication points out that "all events prove that Algeria and Polisario separatists continue for more than three decades, to undermine the UN mediation, by all means, including their rejection of the population census in Tindouf camps requested  by several humanitarian organizations, including the UN High Commissioner for Refugees.

The Security Council expressed, unanimously, on 26 April, as "credible" Morocco's efforts to achieve a settlement of the Sahara issue, said, "Youssef al Ros".

It added that the resolution of the UN Security Council called on Algeria for the third consecutive year, to make efforts to facilitate identification and registration of the population in the Tindouf camps, in accordance with its international obligations to cooperate more fully with the United Nations Organization and engage more decisively to end the current impasse and achieve progress towards a political solution.

In the same context, the Egyptian magazine, said that the European Office for the Fight against Fraud "OLAF" published a report  which "highlights mechanisms of embezzlement and EU humanitarian aid to the leaders of the Polisario" , indicating that the European Parliament adopted in the light of this report, on 29 April, a resolution which "calls on the European Commission to suspend humanitarian aid to Tindouf camps".
