Senegalese Foreign minister Mankeur Ndiaye reiterated his country's "support" to the Moroccan autonomy initiative for the Sahara under the Kingdom's sovereignty.


"My country reaffirms its commitment in favour of strengthening fraternal ties between all countries of the Maghreb and Africa", Senegalese chief diplomat said in his address to the 69th UN General Assembly.

Within this spirit, all forms of separatism must be discouraged, Senegalese FM went on to say, adding: "Senegal would like to reiterate its support to Morocco's autonomy initiative in the Sahara in respect of the Kingdom's sovereignty and the relevant resolutions of the UN Security Council on sustainable peace."
