The speech delivered by His Majesty King Mohammed VI on the occasion of the 44th anniversary of the Green March reaffirms the bases of the Kingdom on the Moroccan Sahara, as well as the attachment of Moroccans to their southern provinces.

The speech underlines that there can be no alternative to the autonomy proposal presented by the Kingdom to settle the artificial dispute around the Moroccan Sahara, said Mr. Rodriguez Mackay, describing this initiative as "wise , balanced and relevant ".

In this vein, the Peruvian scholar added that Morocco's presentation of the autonomy plan reflects the values of dialogue and openness advocated by HM the King and the Sovereign's commitment to global development and integrated country.

The speech by HM the King, he added, recalls the epic of the recovery of sovereignty over the Moroccan Sahara thanks to the Green March and highlights the attachment of Moroccans to this part of their territory.

The Sahara is "a central issue for the Kingdom and one of the country's constants that reflects the long-standing symbiosis between the throne and the people".

In addition, he focused on the geopolitical reading given by the discourse on the Maghreb region, highlighting the strategic position of the Kingdom as a "true gateway" to the African continent.

The Peruvian expert noted, on the other hand, that the royal speech reconciles the country's internal and external policies and in the special attention given by the Sovereign to the promotion of Morocco's development in a climate of peace and stability.
