The European Union (EU) lauded, Friday, the initiative of HM King Mohammed VI, on the occasion of the 43rd anniversary of the Green March, to open a "frank and direct dialogue" with Algeria
In a statement by one of its spokespersons, the EU said it has "followed with interest" HM the King's speech and the Sovereign's initiative to create a joint political mechanism for dialogue and consultation, in order to overcome the cyclical differences hindering the development of relations between Morocco and Algeria.
"Any constructive initiative that could contribute to good cooperation in the Maghreb region is welcome," the spokesperson told MAP.
