The Green March is undoubtedly a landmark milestone in the contemporary history of Morocco, and it is also an event that marks, for the southern provinces, the beginning of a tremendous economic and social change that continues today under the leadership of HM King Mohammed VI.


The celebration on Tuesday of the 43rd anniversary of the glorious Green March is thus an opportunity for the Moroccan people as a whole to recall the deep historical meanings and decisive stakes of this glorious national event which reflects the firm and unwavering commitment of the Moroccans to recover their stolen land.


It is the opportunity to emphasize the importance for the various components of society to continue the collective mobilization for the multidimensional development of this territory dear to all Moroccans and celebrate its triumphant return to motherland.


This 43-year-old march continues today under the reign of HM King Mohammed VI, who provided the southern provinces of the Kingdom with a new model of economic development with investments reaching $ 77 billion MAD.


In figures, the rate of progress of projects under the program of the development of the southern provinces reached 48% and committed funds until the end of March 2018 amount to approximately 21 MMDH, assured the Head of Government, Saad Dine El Otmani, noting that this rate should reach 70% by the end of this year.
