In a statement issued in Bucharest, the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs underlines that Romania is in favor of a "political settlement" of this regional dispute and appreciates the efforts made by the Kingdom to reach a final and lasting solution to this conflict.

The statement was issued following talks held by Romanian Foreign Minister Teodor Melescanu with Morocco's Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita, who is on an official visit to Romania.

Bourita's visit to Bucharest is the second leg of a tour that began on Tuesday in the Balkan region with the aim of diversifying the Kingdom's partners within the European continent.

After Belgrade and Bucharest, Bourita will visit Sofia, Bulgaria.
