The Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs (Corcas), represented by Vice chairman Kheddad El Moussaoui, in the delegation of the Kingdom of Morocco is participating in the Regional Seminar for the Pacific of the Committee of 24 held in Grenada from 9 to 11 May 2018.

The Regional Seminar for the Pacific is devoted this year to accelerating the implementation of the Third International Decade for the Eradication of Colonialism.

The conclusions and recommendations of the Seminar will then be considered by the Special Committee in June at its substantive session and transmitted to the General Assembly.

The full title of the theme of the Regional Seminar for the Pacific is "Implementation of the Third International Decade for the Eradication of Colonialism: Social, Economic and Environmental Challenges in Achieving Sustainable Development Goals in Non-Self-Governing Territories" ".

Corcas contributes to the Moroccan delegation participating, as it did in previous sessions, for the consolidation of the position of Morocco on the treatment of the national issue.

It informed participants about the latest developments of the Sahara issue, in light of the adoption by the Security Council of its latest Resolution 2414, in which the Moroccan autonomy was again qualified as serious, realistic and credible, as it has been since its submission in 2007 to the United Nations Secretary-General.
