Speaker of the Arab Parliament Mechaal Ben Fahm Al-Selmi reiterated, on Wednesday in Rabat, the body's support for Morocco against any meddling in its domestic affairs or threat to its sovereignty, security and stability.

Speaking at the opening of the 4th session of the Arab Parliament, Al-Selmi lauded efforts made by HM King Mohammed VI to back up joint Arab action and the role of the sovereign, in his capacity as chairman of the Al Quds Committee, in defending this holy city.

This session comes just days after the holding of the 29th Arab Summit (Al Quds Summit), which showed the solidarity of the Arab world to face the challenges ahead, he said, stressing that Palestine and Al-Quds remain the top Arab cause.

The adequate solution to the crises in the Arab world is dialogue in order to achieve a political consensus, while preserving the rights of all and ensuring the unity of Arab countries, he insisted.

This session focused on the latest developments in the Arab region, as well as on the results of the last Arab Summit and the ongoing efforts by the Arab Parliament in favour for Arab strategic issues, including the Palestinian cause.

The holding of this session in Morocco is meant to strengthen inter-Arab relations and promote cooperation and coordination between the Arab Parliament and the Moroccan House of Advisers.
