The responsibility of Algeria in the conflict around the Moroccan Sahara is confirmed by historical realities and data and positions that have over 40 years of this "artificial conflict", said Thursday in Rabat, Minister Delegate in charge of Relations with Parliament and Civil Society, government spokesman Mustapha El Khalfi.

Algeria is responsible for the creation of the separatist front, this artificial conflict and its development, the arming, financing and accommodation of this entity and for having imposed the puppet republic in the Organization of the African unity, insisted El Khalfi who answered a question, during a press conference at the end of the council of government, about the presence of elements of "Polisario" aboard the Algerian plane which crushed in the perimeter of Boufarik Air Base.

He also deplored the diplomatic mobilization of Algeria in international fora and the United Nations - the Human Rights Council and the 4 Committee- which aimed to undermine the territorial and national integrity of the country, noting that the United Nations minutes corroborate these realities.

El Khalfi also added that in 2002, UN Secretary-General unveiled the satisfaction of Algeria regarding proposed distribution at the time.

This position is completely contradictory with the allegations of defending the right of self-determination and exposes an intention to divide the Kingdom, he said, adding that the Moroccan people, under the leadership of HM King Mohammed VI, had faced this project firmly.

Algeria was behind the confrontation of the personal envoy of former UN Secretary-General Peter van Walsum, who had made clear the impossibility of creating a state and stressed the need to find a realistic solution to this conflict.
