"We would like to reaffirm our full support for the initiative of the Kingdom of Morocco for autonomy, the organization of successful democratic local elections and economic and social development for the well-being of the people of the Sahara, said during the general debate of the Committee, Kadim Oussein, representative of the Comoros to this body.

"Our delegation would strongly encourage the ongoing process, under the auspices of the UN Secretary General, aimed at a negotiated political solution, through the action undertaken by the Special Envoy," he said, noting that  it aims at realistic compromise, on the basis of the relevant resolutions of the Security Council.
