Morocco is the only "safe and stable" country in the region where it is possible to tackle, without complexes, vital issues for Africa and Africans

The works of the 28th session of the prestigious Forum Crans Montana (FCM) ended Monday night aboard the cruise ship GNV Rhapsody after five days of intensive and fruitful discussions on African development and South-South cooperation.

The third consecutive edition of the FCM in Dakhla, which continued its works aboard the NGV to Casablanca from Sunday, fulfilled all its promises, making it possible to bring the voice of Africa to the whole world through genuine exchanges on the continent's reality, wealth, problems, challenges and development prospects.

More than 1,500 participants, including international high-level personalities, met in Dakhla, the "African and global miracle", to discuss the problems of Africa and restore the balance so that Africans can live with dignity.

This prominent event, under the patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, brought together participants from 36 European countries, 27 States of America, 44 States of Africa and 43 States of Asia and Oceania in addition to some 40 international and regional organizations.

Among the distinguished personalities present at the event was the President of the Republic of Vanuatu, Baldwin Lonsdale, Governor General of Antigua and Barbuda, Rodney Williams, Special Advisor to the UN SG, innovative development financing, Philippe Douste-Blazy, and American Reverend Jesse Jackson.

The president of the Economic Community of West African States, Moustapha Cissé Lo, president of the Senate of Nigeria, Bukola Saraki, Zambia's former head of state Rupiah Banda, Former President of the Republic of Mali, Diancounda Traore and President of the Arab Businesswomen's Council in Kuwait, Cheikha Hissah Saad al-Salem al-Sabah, also took part in this event, alongside other key guests .

The works of this session was divided into fifteen sessions, focusing in particular on food security, sustainable agriculture, public health, renewable energies, natural resource management, maritime industry and the role of youth and women in the development of Africa.

In a statement to the press at the end of this edition, FCM's founder and president, Jean-Paul Carteron, described the results of this 28th session as "positive", given the number and quality of personalities participated in the debates, noting that the participants had already expressed their wish to return to the Kingdom again within the framework of the FCM.

The Crans Montana Forum and the structuring projects launched by His Majesty King Mohammed VI in Dakhla have enabled the whole world to discover this ancestral city, land of dialogue, debate and openness, said Carteron, pointing out that Dakhla in recent years has become a "laboratory" of ideas, proposals, debates, discussions and solutions.

The natural and legitimate return of Morocco to its African institutional family has given a more singular and more plural dimension to the debates of the Crans Montana Forum, he said, highlighting the openness, stability and security enjoyed by the Morocco.

Morocco is the only "safe and stable" country in the region where it is possible to tackle, without complexes, vital issues for Africa and Africans, Carteron said.
