Morocco, under the leadership of HM King Mohammed VI, leads in its southern provinces development "remarkable" and "unique" experience said president of the Ivorian National Assembly, Guillaume Soro Kigbafori.

Soro said, during a press interview that Morocco has applied a new model of governance in the region, which is based on a "new advanced regionalization" noting that many countries can  learn from this experience.

It states that "the Moroccan government efforts now focus on strengthening the rule of law and decentralization of economic decisions to meet the needs of the inhabitants."

The people of the region themselves take decisions through their representatives, the nature of the needs and priorities, said the President of the Ivorian National Assembly, highlighting the importance of the massive investments made by Morocco to enhance the economic and social levels enjoyed by locals.

He says that Morocco through this approach presents evidence indicating that the treatment of instability by means of the unique security force does not guarantee the security and territorial development.

The President of the Ivorian National Assembly, reiterated the constant position of his country regarding the Moroccan Sahara issue, saying: "this land is an integral part of the Kingdom of Morocco and represents its southern provinces". He added that Morocco submitted to the United Nations the autonomy proposal "as a good framework to resolve the conflict over the Moroccan Sahara."
