At a time when the European Parliament seeks to '' see more clearly '' the case of embezzlement of international humanitarian assistance to populations in Tindouf camps in southern Algeria, the number of cases of child recruitment on behalf of terrorist movements Boko Haram and 'Islamic State' '(EI) is increasing, wrote the Italian newspaper' La Repubblica '.

The publication reminds a report of the anti-fraud office of the European Union (OLAF) which unveiled a large-scale embezzlement, well organized for years, of humanitarian aid to refugees in the Tindouf camps.

The EU financially supports the Tindouf camps since 1975, based on a population estimated by the Algerian authorities at 150,000 people, this number would hardly exceed 90,000 refugees, the newspaper noted that the ratio of OLAF was never published and, despite everything, the EU continues to provide aid to the Tindouf camps' fundamentalism is becoming more diffuse especially among young people. ''

The newspaper notes that the European Commission has consistently provided aid to the Tindouf camps since 1994 and had sent tons of food worth € 10 million per year for the benefit of the population.

'' The first signs of fraud were seen in 1999. And in 2004, OLAF investigation uncovered the extent and the structured nature of this lucrative business by the Polisario leader and senior Algerian government officials '', said the newspaper.

According to the Italian daily, the euro-parliamentary German Ingeborg Graessle, who was the first to raise this issue, said: '' I do not hide that we are very concerned because the situation seems at least be the same and that nothing significant has changed.' '

For her part, the newspaper said, the European Budget Commissioner Kristalina Georgieva, stressed that '' against the measures taken '', recognizing that 'in reality, there is no real control system in Tindouf. ''

After noting that the OLAF report carries heavy charges and cites the names of the suspected organizers of these embezzlements, which begin in the Algerian port of Oran sent to other destinations including Algeria and Mauritania markets, the newspaper noted that the copy of the report widely circulated by the international press, names the suspects involved in this large-scale embezzlement

In addition, the paper also draws attention to the phenomenon, repeatedly denounced by Moroccan associations networks in Italy, massive recruitment of child soldiers in the Polisario camps for terrorist groups, Boko Haram, Islamic state (EI) and AQIM.

These Moroccan networks urge the UN to conduct a population census in Tindouf camps, noting that so far neither Alger nor Polisario never accepted that a census is organized, added the Italian daily.
