Chairman of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs (CORCAS), Mr. Khalihenna Ould Errachid received at the Council’s headquarters Wednesday, March 18, 2015, Professor Jeanette HOORN, Director of Studies of visual cultures at the University Melbourne and President of Friendship Morocco-Australia Association.


At the meeting, attended by the CORCAS Secretary General, Dr. Maouelainin Ben Khallihenna Maouelainin, Mr. Khalihenna discussed the history of the Sahara conflict, in the context of regional and international polarization at the time of the Cold War between the block of West and East, evoking the UN role in the settlement of the conflict based on autonomy proposal submitted by Morocco in 2007 as ultimate and fair solution. This solution is based on consensus, dialogue and promoting peace.

It should be noted that the visit of Professor HOORN in Morocco is part of participation in the Crans Montana Forum, which took place in the city of Dakhla March 12-14, 2015.
