The bodies and organizations of civil society in the region of Oued Ed-Dahab-Lagouira welcomed the holding in Dakhla of the Crans Montana Forum (March 12-14) under the patronage of HM King Mohammed VI, in view of the positive impact that this event will have on the economic and development in this region.


In a press release to national and international public opinion, civil society called for a positive opening on this forum as an added value for the benefit of the peoples of Africa and its partners, highlighting the openness policy adopted by Morocco as a state of law. Pleased to welcome the participants of this Forum, association members welcomed the efforts locally, nationally and internationally to ensure success in this event, expressing their total availability to actively participate in the best conditions.

They also claimed the support of associations in the region to hold this international forum, the first of its kind in West Africa, highlighting the program of this event is a major pillar for economic complementarity between African countries and support for South-South cooperation.

The holding in Dakhla of the Crans Montana Forum is conducive to the consolidation of security, stability and economic development of the population of the southern provinces of the Kingdom and open up promising prospects for strengthening the spirit of unity among peoples of the African continent, they said. They affirmed that this event will promote constructive and serious dialogue between stakeholders and decision makers in Africa and the world, to improve the economic situation of the continent and its peoples, according to a comprehensive and complementary approach.

They thus called on international organizations and bodies to participate actively in the forum and do not miss this important deadline for strengthening the geostrategic and economic role of African territory in the world and promoting security and opportunities consolidation in Africa.
