Opposition parties, through a body in charge of the Sahara issue, established on Monday in Rabat, a roadmap to plead for the territorial integrity of the Kingdom.

The representatives of this body presented during this meeting, which was attended by secretaries-general of independence, PAM, Socialist Union of Popular Forces, and the Constitutional Union, respectively by Hamid Chabat, Mustafa Baqouri, Driss Lachgar and Mohammed Abyed, an action plan and preliminary document considered as cumulative evidence to hold tools and arguments for the body to defend the territorial integrity of the Kingdom.

This document is based on the Royal speeches and on the portal of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, as well as the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs, National Council for Human Rights, the Economic, Social and Environmental Council along with UN Resolutions, especially after the submission of the autonomy proposal which was described by the international community as realistic and credible.

The document contains a particular historical overview on the Sahara issue, and struggle to settle this artificial conflict that has lasted for forty years, highlighting the momentum launched by the autonomy proposal.

The opposition parties announced last December that this initiative extends over 2015 to implement and develop party and national diplomacy, in order to defend the national cause in the context of the momentum launched by the Royal speech last November.
