US President Barack Obama signed, on Tuesday, a document on the promulgation of the 2015 appropriation bill which reinforces, unequivocally, the aid to development in the southern provinces, in line with Washington's support for the Sahara autonomy plan, under Morocco's sovereignty.
The 2015 budget stipulates that the funding allocated under heading II of the US appropriation bill will be made available as part of the aid meant for the southern provinces.
It said that the Morocco-related provisions will be implemented by the Congress through a mechanism to be set up by the US government's legislative and executive branches.
The US congress has repeatedly expressed its bipartisan support for such measure as well as for the Moroccan autonomy proposal, described by the USA as serious, credible and realistic.
