 The Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs held on Thursday, 13 July 2006 a meeting devoted to study the program and strategy of the five committes prescribed in article 33 of chapter II of the rules of procedure.


According to a Communiqué from the Council that reached MAP Agency, Council’s chairman, Khalihenna Ould Errachid,  addressed during the meeting the guidelines that include the main axes of the committees works in order to activate the Council’s mechanisms and organs through systematic sharing and proximity issues for citizens in the southern regions.

The communiqué added that members of Committees will examine for three days the program and work strategy, highlighting that in the light of these works schedules will be done for meetings of all members, in order to discuss the ways and means to bring such programs into existence.

This concerns the following Committees: Committee of Social Affairs, Human Development and the Environment.

 Committee of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation.

 Committee for the Defence of Human Rights, Public Liberties and Camps’ Populations.

 Committee of Economic Affairs, Education and Training.

 Committee for the promotion of the Hassani Culture, Information and Communication.
