She confirmed in a statement made to the media at the end of her talks with Mr Khalihena Ould Er rachid, that the Swiss delegation understood that Morocco is on the right path in terms of dealing with the issue of Sahara.

 This meeting was an opportunity for Mrs Ighriz Ghi- Oprissit, and members of the delegation, to become aware of the historical phases of the Sahara issue, and the main outlines of the Moroccan initiative to negotiate on the basis of autonomy in the Sahara region

 Mrs Khalihena Ould Er Rachid explained to the Swiss delegation the prerogatives of the Royal advisory council for Saharan affairs, and its participation in the development of the Southern provinces, and the drawing up of the Moroccan proposal ;  the chairman of the council talked about the great realisations which were achieved in the southern provinces , and the atmosphere of tranquillity and freedom over there, this meeting took place with the presence of the Swiss ambassador in Morocco Mr Christian Donan , and the secretary general of the council Mr Malainine Ben Khalihena Malainine
