This meeting was characterized by the speech by Ms. Fatima Basilga, speaking on behalf of the Socialist Party, and the spokesman of the Popular Party, who put forward the Spanish position on the subject of the Sahara issue, by addressing the issue of finding a definitive solution to the Sahara dispute. 

The two speeches also addressed the question of Morocco, as key actor in collaboration, and the need to respond to the autonomy proposal submitted by Morocco, as well as the representation issue of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs of the Sahara.

The members of the Foreign Affairs Committee congratulated Moroccan delegation on the clarity of the facts presented to them, and clarity of the new strategy to resolve of the Moroccan initiative to solve this issue once and for all.
