The Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs (Corcas) is taking part, as part of the Kingdom of Morocco's official delegation, in the 59th session of the UN Human Rights Council (HRC), held from June 16 to July 9 at the Palais des Nations in Geneva.


Corcas is represented at this session by Council members Moulay Ahmed Mghizlate and Saadani Maoulainine.

This HRC session will be marked by the renewal or extension of the mandates of several special rapporteurs.

The Human Rights Council will also be examining and adopting the texts of the Universal Periodic Review concerning some fifteen countries.

Also on the agenda are a number of debates and discussions, including the annual Day of Discussion devoted to women's human rights, a round table on the realization of human rights to safe drinking water and sanitation, and an annual thematic panel discussion on technical cooperation and capacity-building.
