Following the end of the extraordinary session a Message of loyalty and sincerity was addressed to His Majesty King Mohammed VI

After kissing your hands, extending loyalty and obedience obligations, and expressing attachment to the Glorious Throne, the President of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs, Khalihenna Ould Errachid, is honoured, on behalf all members of the Council, to submit to your Majesty this message at the end of the first meeting of the special session of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs, held in Rabat on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 27, 28 and 29, Rabie II 1427, corresponding to: 25 26 and 27 May 2006 where the Council examined and discussed the two points contained in its agenda, namely:

* Creating the Council’s committees.
* Autonomy in the southern regions of the kingdom.


Majesty,

The members of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs grab this occasion to express to the inspirational leader of the country's beloved monarch, guarantor of its unity, His Majesty King Mohammed VI their sense of pride and satisfaction for the care given to our Council that we consider encouragement and support to the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs to move in accordance with the approach made by you pursuant to the directives of your majesty to accomplish the mission entrusted to it to unite efforts and converge wills and determination so that we always fulfil what is required by your majesty. This is what the works of the first meeting of the special session illustrated especially when discussing autonomy in the southern regions, where participants thought deeply about this point, especially with regard to suggestions on the autonomy project in the South under the sovereignty of the Kingdom of Morocco and its national unity and territorial integrity. In this context, the members considered the self-governance initiative sincere which was echoed throughout the world to find a solution to the dispute over the Moroccan Sahara, as well as the objective of the initiative to establish reconciliation and ensure the security, stability and orientation towards promising prospects and benefits for your loyal nationals throughout the Kingdom.  

The works of the first meeting of this session was marked by envy and loyalty to the fundamentals of the nation, reflected through the speeches by your loyal members of the Council in this regard, which were all for defending the gains achieved by our country in promoting national unity and territorial integrity, with deep faith and democratic consultation promoted by your person aimed at making all Moroccan citizens essential focus to any political or developmental action. It is a great occasion, which comes in light of the circumstantial and popular aspirations to close the Sahara file confirming to your majesty our support for all your initiatives creativity in order to update Morocco’s community and its institutions and to move our country towards renaissance, progress and development in all areas through comprehensive reforms and building the future of strong and prosperous Morocco. It is fortunate that the special session witnesses major positive developments showing to the world the justice of our cause and our legitimate interests in the framework of international legitimacy and the desire to maintain peace, security, stability and development in the Maghreb thanks to your leadership, wise and prudent governance.

The success of the first meeting of the special session of the Royal Consultative Council for Saharan Affairs depended on the contents of your majesty’s historic speech in the city of Laayoune on March 25, 2006 which was taken by the Council a key reference in all its movements and its activity inspired by the promising prospects launched by your visit to the southern provinces, the event, which will firmly remain in our memory with its profound strategic and developmental  implications and dimensions confirming to the world exceptional consensus demonstrated for your majesty. 

On this occasion, we would like to express to your majesty great appreciation and gratitude for your care towards your loyal citizens in the Southern Territories.

May Allah preserve you, as He preserved the Holy Quran, and may Him help you remain an asset and refuge for this nation. May God bless HRH crown prince Moulay Al Hassan, His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid, and all your Royal family.
