Argentina will endeavor in a bid to reach a consensus that satisfies all the parties concerned by the Sahara dispute, and put an end to this conflict which has lasted for too long, Argentinean Foreign Minister said on Tuesday.

Argentina "had carefully listened to the explanations" provided by the Moroccan delegation, Jorge Taiana told the press following a meeting with a visiting Moroccan delegation, noting that Argentina will be keenly waiting for submitting the proposal to the UN Security Council next April.

For his part, the Argentinean vice-president Daniel Scioli, who also met the Moroccan delegation, stressed "Morocco's strategic vision and its willingness to provide solution mechanisms."

In this connection, the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies, Alberto Edgardo Balestrinin, deemed "original" Morocco's new proposal, pointing out that "the issue of autonomies is very important, and (Morocco's) proposal would lead to peace and harmony with other countries, as well as settling several problems in the whole Africa.

A Moroccan ministerial delegation, composed of Moroccan Foreign Minister, Mohamed Benaissa, and chairman of the Royal Advisory Council for Sahrawi Affairs (CORCAS) Khalihenna Ould Errachid, presented on Monday in Buenos Aires, the broad lines of Morocco's autonomy plan to its Southern Provinces, the Sahara, to the Argentinean officials.

The visit is part of a Moroccan worldwide diplomatic move to explain the autonomy plan to world capitals, and drum up support to it, before presenting it, in April to the UN Security Council.
