The speech by His Majesty King Mohammed VI on the occasion of the 69th anniversary of the revolution of the King and the people highlighted the commendable and successful management of the Moroccan Sahara issue during the last decade, said Ibrahim Blali Essouih, member of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs (CORCAS).


In a statement to MAP, Mr. Blali Essouih highlighted the remarkable breakthroughs of the royal diplomacy on the Sahara issue, noting that the speech reflects the growing international support for the Moroccan position on this issue.
He also noted that the royal speech emphasized the strengthening of the unity of the internal front and the mobilization of all Moroccans to defend the Moroccan Sahara, highlighting the enlightened vision of HM the King in this matter.

Similarly, Mr. Blali Essouih stressed that the Sovereign has reviewed the diplomatic achievements of the Kingdom achieved in record time, citing in this regard the constructive position of Spain on the Moroccan Sahara and the American recognition of the full sovereignty of Morocco over its Sahara, in addition to the growing support of several countries in Europe, Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean to the territorial integrity of the Kingdom.

In this line, he noted that in His royal speech, HM the King recalled that about 30 countries have opened consulates in the southern provinces, which reflects their clear support for the territorial integrity of the Kingdom and the Moroccan Sahara.

Morocco has opted for a new strategy in its relations with major powers and a new position in a multipolar world, he continued, noting that the Kingdom is keen to preserve its relations with traditional partners, while diversifying its strategic partnerships.
