The Measures planned for successful start to school 2020-2021 in Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra were at the heart of discussions during a meeting held Tuesday at the headquarters of the wilaya.


During this meeting chaired by the wali of the region, governor of the province of Laâyoune, Abdeslam Bekrate, the emphasis was placed on the means capable of ensuring a smooth running of this deadline, which will begin on September 7 taking into account the precautionary measures aimed at preventing the spread of the new coronavirus (Covid-19).


The different scenarios and formats to be adopted during this school year were also presented, as required by the current circumstances of the epidemiological situation at the Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra scale.


Mr. Bekrate insisted on the need to respect the rules and preventive measures in order to guarantee a good start to school, calling for an intensified mobilization and communication with all partners and actors of the educational process and to take into account the educational models approved by the ministry.


He also noted that the decisions taken at the central level offer room for maneuver to local actors, recalling the adoption by the supervisory ministry of the pedagogical alternation between distance and face-to-face education for students whose parents opt for this model.


The wali deemed essential to intensify the efforts of all stakeholders to further promote awareness, ensure strict compliance with the health protocol and avoid overcrowding of classes.


For his part, the director of the Regional Academy of Education and Training (AREF), Mbarak El Hansali, ensured the availability of the academy for the application of the three scenarios developed by the Ministry of National Education in anticipation of the start of the school year, recalling successive meetings which have been held with all the stakeholders in order to discuss the procedures and measures to be taken in this regard.


He also noted that the special form to benefit from face-to-face education in public and private schools, for the year 2020-2021, is now accessible via the “Waliya” service provided by the “Massar” system. 


This meeting, in which the regional director of health participated, as well as representatives of the federation and associations of student tutors, was the opportunity to present the procedures and measures taken concerning the start of the academic year at the School. higher technology and vocational training institutions in the southern provinces, scheduled for October.
