The draft report of the UN Secretary General on the Moroccan Sahara, presented recently to the Security Council, has clearly settled the issue of Polisario's violations of UN resolutions, said on Thursday minister delegate for Relations with Parliament and Civil Society, Spokesperson for the government, Mustapha El Khalfi.

The report, which establishes truths that were challenged by some parties, has clearly settled the issue of the violation by the separatist front of the Security Council resolutions, including resolution N° 2240, and the commitment to refrain from any move inside the area to the east of the defense system, El Khalfi said during a press briefing held at the end of the weekly meeting of the Government’s Council.

The minister stressed that the report refutes the propaganda maintained by the Polisario on the so-called existence of "liberated territories" and enshrines the sovereignty of Morocco on the Sahara as well as the exclusive role of the United Nations in the settlement of this artificial conflict.

He further noted that the report highlighted the positive impact of Morocco's significant investments in its southern provinces, in line with the enlightened royal vision and the development model of the southern provinces.

Morocco will continue to defend its just cause in accordance with the mechanisms and parameters of the United Nations, the minister pointed out.
